My profession in life is a psychotherapist for individual and couple counseling. Over the years there have been a lot of very interesting conversations and a few of them spun my ability to remain professional.
One time, over a year ago, I had a new client who came into my office and commented on how they liked my candle in the corner. I always keep a candle lit in the office to remind myself there isn’t enough darkness in the universe to put out light, but that’s another story.
Anyhow, my new client looks at the candle for a minute and then smiles at me and says, “I like incest.”
That got my attention rapidly. “How long has this been going on?”, I asked. The client replied, “I think since I was young, but I’ve liked it more in the last few years. I love the way it makes my house smell.”At that point I was completely lost, worried about patient rights, concerned about reporting this if there is a victim involved and wondering what in the world to do next. The client then smiled and said, “I like the ones that smell like frankincense the most.”
I had sudden understanding. My client didn’t say she liked “incest”, she said she liked “incense”. Obviously the session went much easier once I made that distinction. Never did share the story with her, didn’t want her to know how weird her therapist really was.
Ever been confused by words?
My newest book “OFF the Hook” is now published in paperback and eBook format. It is a mystery/romance with just a touch of paranormal to tie it all together. Laura, a contemporary woman in her early thirties, lives a life controlled by fear. Through a series of mysterious events she finds the strength to leave a destructive relationship and move toward a life where the focus is not fear but love. The first person she learns to love is herself.
Laura’s journey takes her from the fashion business in Manhattan, NY to a new plush resort in Hollywood Fl. where she faces life changing and life threatening experiences destined to forever restructure her life.
New Life Review says. “Similar to the novel ‘EAT, PRAY, LOVE’, it is an exciting story able to transform the reader’s life.”

I just finished reading through the news of the day, a rather non positive event to say the least.
Things in life can sometimes be difficult – but this song by Bob Marley says it all.
DON’T WORRY BE HAPPY – EVERY LITTLE THING GONNA BE ALRIGHT
Give a listen and be happy.
A PSYCHOLOGICAL THRILLER
My book Psych is based on Neuro Linguistic Programming or NLP. A psychiatrist uses it to manipulate her clients. She steals their money and then convinces them to take their own lives. Goodkindles gives it 5 stars. Amazon is 5 stars.

Ernest Hemingway’s writing is the greatest creative joy I have ever found. I am sure many will disagree with me, but I really don’t care. Every once in a while I have to read Movable Feast just to remember why I ever decided to write books. I will never duplicate his genius, but it is good to sit with the gods every once in a while and just feel good. If you loth long rambling sentences, don’t read the following. If you want to once more fall in love with the written word, then this is for you.
All of the sadness of the city came suddenly with the first cold rains of winter, and there were no more tops to the high white houses as you walked but only the wet blackness of the street and the closed doors of the small shops, the herb sellers, the stationery and the newspaper shops, the midwife – second class – and the hotel where Verlaine had died, where I had a room on the top floor where I worked.
Don’t easily admit it, but I think I just had an orgasm.
Any positive thought are welcome.
